A dip test measures the actual liquid level in a tank or vessel. Combined with density and temperature, it produces gross/net volume.
SGS / Intertek / Saybolt issue an inspection report covering:
- Dip and ullage
- Density at 15°C
- Sulfur content
- Flash point
- Cetane (for diesel) / Smoke point (for jet)
